DESCRIPTION:Save a Child\, Save a Toe\nThe following professional learning opportunity is being shared in an effort to extend your current knowledge and understanding of issues that impact your students. Knowing your students is a critical component of National Board certification and participating in events such as Save a Child\, Save a Toe will enhance your competence and effectiveness as an educator. Thank you for your commitment and consideration of this professional learning opportunity. \nThe Nevada Association of School Psychologists is pleased to announce information about the upcoming Lecture Series event\, Save a Child\, Save a Toe\, hosted in partnership with Toe Tag Monologues and Clark County School District’s Department of Student Threat Evaluation and Crisis Response. Additional local and state organizations are collaborating on this event to offer a team-based approach to professional learning. \nLearning Session Goals:\nThrough participation in the Save a Child\, Save a Toe event\, participants will: \n\nIncrease knowledge of environmental and cultural competency to promote positive student outcomes and wellness.\nIncrease awareness of facilitated resolution situations\, as well as professional responsibilities and leadership roles.\nIncrease understanding of family-school collaboration\, prevention\, consultation\, and mental health services.\n\nThis event is honored to hosted in partnership with the Toe Tag Monologues and with Clark County School District’s Department of Student Threat Evaluation and Crisis Response. Additional partners include the Nevada National Board Professional Learning Institute\, the Nevada State Education Association\, the Nevada School Counselor Association\, the UNLV School Psychology Program\, and the UNLV College of Education Alumni Association.
