Objective The objective of this study was to investigate the role of telecytology as a tool with increased quality standards in the optimal evaluation of telecytological diagnoses proffered on the basis of digitized images from cervical smears prepared by means of liquid-based cytology. Materials and Methods The study was performed on representative digital cytological images from a total of 808 cervical smears (benign, 270; atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance, 184; low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion, 124; high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion, 174; squamous cell carcinoma, 52; and adenocarcinoma, 4) that were transferred through file transfer protocol to password-protected accounts for remote review by three independent cytopathologists. In addition to diagnosis, reviewers also commented on overall digital image quality. Contributor’s and reviewer’s diagnoses were collected, recorded, and statistically evaluated. Their reports were recorded and classified. Results Statistical evaluation of cytological diagnoses detected no significant difference in diagnostic accuracy between the diagnoses proffered on the basis of digitized images and conventional slides. The overall interobserver agreement was almost perfect with κ values of 0.79-0.97. Conclusions Static telecytology can be used as an alternative method for the cytological diagnosis of cervical smears, particularly in quality assurance programs. It is a prompt and valid method for quality assessment and proficiency testing and can be integrated into daily workflow. Health care delivery, patient satisfaction, adherence, earlier diagnosis, increased access, and cost reduction are all areas that telemedicine has potential influence. One focus involves the use of photos in wound assessment. Today, many patients’ smartphones can capture high-quality digital photographs, which can easily be transmitted. Postoperative patients are an ideal population for this, as they have a certain level of uncertainty with regard to the healing course, which can often lead to patients seeking out care in unnecessarily costly settings. These visits can lead to inefficient use of health care resources, especially when a telesurgical assessment (TSA) could provide appropriate care more efficiently. Objective We present data collected from a series of patients who received a TSA to demonstrate the potential benefits of incorporating TSA into postoperative wound care. Field emission scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometer, Brunauer emmett teller, zeta potential analyser and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer were adopted to analyse the changes in the microstructure and functional group of Pst@GO before and after the adsorption. The effects of initial concentration, adsorbent dose, pH, adsorption temperature and time on the adsorption behaviour of RhB and MB onto Pst@GO were studied by batch experiments. The results showed that a lot of folds on the surface of Pst@GO were beneficial to improve its adsorption capacity. The maximum adsorption capacity of RhB and MB onto Pst@GO was 49.70 and 59.07 mg g-1 at the initial concentration of 300 mg L-1, dose 0.1 g, pH = 7.0, adsorption temperature 55°C, adsorption time 2 h. Tooth extraction sockets were filled with BB or left unfilled for natural healing in a C57BL/6 mouse alveolar regeneration bone model (n = 12). Seven weeks later, the alveolar bone samples were analyzed histologically with hematoxylin/eosin and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase staining. A separate group (n = 10) was used for RNA sequencing. Osteoclast inhibition was induced by zoledronic acid (ZA) administration at 2 wk postextraction in a third group (n = 28) for examination of osseous changes and cellular functions with micro-computed tomography and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, respectively. Histological and radiological osseous healing was observed in both BB-filled and normal-healing sockets. However, BB regenerated bone showed significant robust expression of genes associated with bone homeostasis and osteoclasts’ function.
