    Besides the well-known use in supporting the non-invasive diagnosis of non-tumoral dermatoses (general dermatology), dermoscopy has been shown to be a promising tool also in predicting and monitoring therapeutic outcomes of such conditions, with the consequent improvement/optimization of their treatment. In the present paper, we sought to provide an up-to-date overview on the use of dermoscopy in highlighting response predictor factors and evaluating therapeutic results in the field of general dermatology according to the current literature data. Several dermatoses may somehow benefit from such applications, including inflammatory conditions (psoriasis, lichen planus, dermatitis, granulomatous conditions, erythro-telangiectatic rosacea, Zoon balanitis and vulvitis, cutaneous mastocytosis, morphea and extra-genital lichen sclerosus), pigmentary disorders (vitiligo and melasma) and infectious dermatoses (scabies, pediculosis, demodicosis and viral warts).

    Despite proven clinical benefits, only aminority of patients complete outpatient cardiac rehabilitation (CR) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The main purpose of this study was to evaluate to what extent and at which time patients drop out of CR, and to assess which patient-related characteristics can predict dropout.

    In aretrospective cohort study, we selected patients who had been hospitalised with an AMI in our centre in 2015 or 2016. Patients were selected pseudonymously based on reimbursement codes in the electronic health record. We extracted baseline characteristics and data on CR referral, enrolment and completion for each patient. Multivariable logistic regression was used to assess which characteristics predicted referral and dropout.

    The 666patients included were predominantly male (66%), with amean age of 69.0years. Of the 640 eligible patients, 201 (31%) were not referred for CR. Enrolment after referral was 94%. Nonreferral was independently associated with older age, female sex, traveling distance, non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI; as compared with STEMI), no coronary revascularisation and prior manifestations of coronary artery disease. Of the 414 enrolled patients, 24% did not complete their CR programmes (i.e. dropped out). Older age and worse exercise capacity at baseline were independently associated with dropout. The ability of the multiple regression models to predict nonreferral and noncompletion was good to fair, with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curves of 0.86 and 0.71, respectively.

This owes to their small size, prolonged antimicrobial efficacy with insignificant toxicity creating less environmental hazard or toxicity. We therefore investigated whether the supplement of Cu on blood lipid level will have an impact in a meta-analysis on randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Literature search was conducted in Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library (from database to January 2020). Randomized controlled trials of Cu supplementation on blood lipid level were retrieved according to the requirements of systematic review, and the quality of the included research was evaluated. Then the meta-analysis was performed. Data from 5 trials representing 176 participants were examined. Pooled mean net change in total cholesterol (TC) (standard mean difference(SMD) [95% CI] = - 0.05 [- 0.52, 0.43]), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (SMD [95% CI] = 0.22 [- 0.46, 0.89]), and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (SMD [95% CI] = 0.18 [- 0.14, 0.49]) for those treated with Cu supplementation had no significant difference when compared with control. Cu supplementation has not affected blood lipids in the result of meta-analysis. The combination of a rectocele and an enterocele as pelvic organ prolapses is not infrequent; however, there are few reports on possible simultaneous treatments of these two conditions. We report a new and simple procedure for repairing an enterocele during a transvaginal anterior levatorplasty with posterior colporrhaphy for a rectocele repair. This technique involves making an excision in the peritoneal sac, with high ligation, and attaching the uterine cervix and/or cardinal ligament to the upper most part of the approximation of the levator muscles, to reinforce and lift the deep peritoneal sac. This procedure allows for transvaginal repair of both an enterocele and a rectocele. The enterocele is visualized by applying barium to the posterior vaginal wall during defecography.
