To this aim, an electronic board, currently used for remote energy metering, was chosen as a case study, specifically the STCOMET platform. Starting from the specifications of this device, the possibility of implementing power quality metrics is investigated in order to verify if compliance with standard requirements for PQ instruments can be obtained. Issues related to device features constraints are discussed; possible solutions and correction algorithms are presented and experimentally verified for different PQ metrics with a particular focus on harmonic analysis. The feasibility study takes into account both the use of on-board voltage and current transducers for low voltage applications and also the impact of external instrument transformers on measurement results.Non-coding small RNAs play important roles in virus-host interactions. The paper also discusses recent advances in mammalian antiviral RNAi.The objective of the study was to test the effect of diets supplemented with β-alanine, L-histidine, and carnosine on the histidine dipeptide content and the antioxidative status of chicken breast muscles and blood. One-day-old Hubbard Flex male chickens were assigned to five treatments control diet (C) and control diet supplemented with 0.18% L-histidine (ExpH), 0.3% β-alanine (ExpA), a mix of L-histidine\β-alanine (ExpH+A), and 0.27% carnosine (ExpCar). After 28 days, chicken breast muscles and blood samples were analyzed for the antioxidant enzyme activity (catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), superoxide dismutase (SOD)), carnosine and anserine content, amino acid profile, and anti-radical activity (ABTS, DPPH, ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP)). The results of the study showed that carnosine supplementation effectively increased body weight and breast muscle share in chicken carcasses. Carnosine and L-histidine supplementation with or without β-alanine increased carnosine content in chicken breast muscles up to 20% (p = 0.003), but the boost seems to be too low to affect the potential antioxidant capacity and amino acid content. The β-alanine-enriched diet lowered dipeptide concentration in chicken blood serum (p = 0.002) and activated catalase in chicken breast muscles in relation to the control group (p = 0.003). It can be concluded that histidine or dipeptide supplementation of chicken diets differently affected the total antioxidant potential in breast muscles, it increased dipeptide content, while in blood cell sediment (rich in erythrocytes), increased SOD and GPx activities were observed.Standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of amino acids (AA) in alternative protein sources for growing pigs was determined in this study. Diets containing egg albumen (EA), casein, blood meal (BM), and blood plasma meal (BPM) and a nitrogen-free diet (NFD) were fed to 20 barrows in a quadruplicate 5 × 2 incomplete Latin square design with two periods in experiment 1. The SID of AA was greater in casein than other ingredients (p less then 0.05), except Pro. The SID of Arg, Ile, and Met was lower (p less then 0.05) in EA than BM and BPM. In this experiment, chrysoeriol 7 (C7) and cochlioquinone 9 (C9) were extracted from rice inoculated with the WBPH using MeOH, and cultivars with high extraction efficiency were selected. In addition, the antimicrobial activity of C7 and C9 against various pathogens causing disease in rice was tested. The results show that C7 has antifungal activity against Fusarium graminearum and Pythium graminicola, and C9 show antifungal activity against Cladosporium herbarum, Cladosporium cladosporioides, Gibberella zeae, Fusarium graminearum and Pythium graminicola. When both substances were treated at a concentration of 1000 ppm, they showed high inhibition rates of 62.3% and 36.2% against P.graminicola, respectively. The Hb-Cu3(PO4)2 NFs catalyzed the decomposition of H2O2 into ·OH radicals in an alkaline solution that could efficiently react with nonfluorescent thiamine to fluoresce thiochrome. The fluorescence of thiochrome was further enhanced with a nonionic surfactant, Tween 80. Under optimal reaction conditions, the linear range for thiamine was from 5 × 10-8 to 5 × 10-5 mol/L. The correlation coefficient for the calibration curve and the limit of detection (LOD) were 0.9972 and 4.8 × 10-8 mol/L, respectively. The other vitamins did not bring about any obvious changes in fluorescence. The developed method based on hybrid nanoflowers is specific, pragmatically simple and sensitive, and has potential for application in thiamine detection.
