The assessment was performed using Levine’s Conservation Model based on the domain of energy conservation, structural integrity, personal integrity, and social integrity. The nutritional problem of children with cancer was improved, as characterized by decreased nutritional score. Nutritional disorders greatly influence the quality of life of children with cancer, and therefore, it requires treatment so that patients can adapt to changes that occur in their internal and external environments. Levine’s Conservation Model can be applied to pediatric patients with cancer who experience nutritional disorders and serve as a guide for nurses to conduct studies, decide on diagnoses, and arrange interventions to improve the quality of nursing care.Dementia is a progressive decline in cognitive abilities characterized by memory loss. Elderly with dementia are often considered to be unable to determine the nursing services that fit their needs. This study aims to finding out the support needed by elderly with dementia during staying in LTC institutions. This study is a descriptive phenomenology. The data in this study was analyzed by using a structured and specific analysis method developed by Moustakas that modifying by Stevick-Colaizzi-Keen. The results of this study show that elderly with mild to moderate dementia have ability to share their experiences in getting the holistic supports, including bio-psycho-socio and spiritual needs. Holistic supports can help elderly with mild to moderate dementia to maintain their abilities and improve their quality of life. LTC institution needs to improve the quality and quantity of caregivers’ team to maximize their holistic support for elderly with dementia.New nurses who have just worked have not been given clinical privilege during their orientation. Feelings, experiences, and expectations can influence the quality of nursing services. This study aimed to explore the experiences of new nurses, especially in the orientation period, before they are given the clinical privilege. This research applied a descriptive qualitative phenomenology design-semi-structured, in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed by the Colaizzi method using thematic analysis. Four themes new nurses lack understanding of clinical privilege; new nurses provide nursing care based on senior orders; new nurses want to be recognized, appreciated, and given clinical privilege; and hospitals need to facilitate the process of adaptation of new nurses. This study shows that the new nurse carries out nursing care in the hope of being recognized and developing skills. Nurse managers are expected to provide appropriate orientation programs. The objective of study is to explore the experiences of parents taking care of their critically ill child at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in the Malaysian hospital. A total of ten parents were interviewed and selected for purposive sampling. The data was analysed using a thematic analysis based on the Colaizzi’s approach. The study identified four emerging themes from data that included participation in care, participation in decision-making, challenges and coping mechanisms throughout the child’s hospitalisation. Parents have emphasised the importance of their participation in the care and decision-making of their child. They also have their own coping mechanisms that would make their journey less traumatic. Nurses need to enhance their communication skills and improve nurse-parent relationships.Stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability worldwide. The purpose of this study is to identify and explore patients’ experiences in reducing risk factors for stroke. This qualitative research is carried out by using phenomenology method. Seven participants were selected by purposive sampling at a health center (puskesmas) in Depok. The result of this study identifies three themes that describe the experiences of patients at high risk for stroke in seeking ways to reduce the risk factors. They are various perceptions of patients at risk for stroke toward the risk, behavior that trigger stroke, and information about reducing the risk factors. This study shows that health education program that could increase the knowledge, awareness, motivation, and ability to take care of patients at high risk for stroke is indispensable.
